Identity:

William Keeney Bixby was a business man and collector in St Louis, Mo. He married Lillian Tuttle (1856-1931). They had seven children including William Hoxie Bixby (1888-1967).

Life:

He owned Grey and Silver: Pourville y522, which was brought over to him by Charles Lang Freer, a business colleague.

He donated a large collection of books and manuscripts to the Missouri Historical Society and supported the St. Louis Art Museum, of which he was president of the Art Museum.
