Described as a 'Junge Dame in einem Armstuhl sitzend, den Kopf ruhend auf die Stuhllehne gelegt ubd vom Beschauer abgewandt. … Prachtvolle Zeichnung von schonster Qualitat aus der Fruhzeit des Kunstlers, in schwarzer Kreide, weiss gehoht, auf braunem Papier. ' (Translated: Young lady sitting in an armchair, resting her head on the back of the chair, facing away from the viewer. ... Magnificent drawing of the highest quality from the early days of the artist, in black chalk, heightened in white, on brown paper.' - 1908: possibly 'Lady asleep in chair', 27 x 17 cm, or 'Girl seated on armchair', 26 x 16 cm, sent by Obach & Co., London art dealers, to Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919) on 13 October 1908 but returned (31 December 1908, Voucher No. 43, FGA).
- 1924: sold at auction, Amsler and Ruthardt, Berlin, 28-29 October 1924 (lot 681) repr. pl. 62.
