A quick sketch, primarily showing the outlines of a long-necked bottle in front of a circular dish. The Thompson catalogue described the subjects as follows:

'No. 201. Pair of Deep Dishes. In the centre a combat between two mounted warriors each attended by a lieutenant carrying a standard; round the inner edge eight medallions connected by blue arched pillars variously ornamented in white, representing a combat between a foot soldier and a mounted warrior; on the reverse a band of detached flowers, and six large revoluted ornaments in divisions. Mark, 6 and double ring. Diameter, 12 ½ inches.'

'No. 249. Globular-shaped Bottle, with long neck. On the body a salmon leaping from rough waves striking against a rock; at the side of the fish a flower; above a band of castellated ornament; round the neck a band of involuted ornament on a blue ground. Height, 10 inches.' 2
