Frame

This is one of a small group of framed drawings that came to Glasgow University framed (label of Andre Chenue (fl. 1890s)), and which appear to tally with the rather vague titles used in 1886. However, they might have been framed by Miss Birnie Philip specifically for the 1905 Whistler memorial show. Given its lack of finish, it would have been a surprising choice.
