Although most descriptions are too vague to identify it, one suggests it may have been Note in Rose and Silver - Dordrecht m0970: The Graphic (25 April 1885), which praised Whistler's 'slight, but suggestive, out of doors studies in watercolour. The little view of "Dordrecht" is especially noteworthy for its picturesque beauty and purity of tone.'
