Exhibitions
-
1886: 'Notes' - 'Harmonies' - 'Nocturnes', Second Series, Messrs Dowdeswell, London, 1886 (cat. no. 14) as 'Blue and silver – Holland'.
-
1889: “Notes” – “Harmonies” – “Nocturnes”, H. Wunderlich & Co., New York, 1889 (cat. no. 23) as 'Blue and silver – Holland'.
The New York Times on 3 March 1889 described it as 'charming, slight as it is.' 2 This does not help in identifying it. It was priced at 25 guineas, but remained unsold, and was returned after the exhibition by Wunderlich's on the SS Servia. 3
