Grey and Silver was exhibited in 1885.
It is catalogued in MacDonald 1995 (cat. rais.) [more] (cat. no. 1069).
Grey and Silver, Whereabouts unknown
The Echo on 2 December 1885 described it as one of two 'seaside' sketches, but the Academy on 19 December 1885 described it as a vertical pastel of a lightly draped model. The minimal title appears more appropriate for a seascape but perhaps the scantily dressed model was walking by the sea.
The Academy on 19 December admired this as one of two 'well chosen, and very well placed models'.
Unknown.
The critic of the Echo, 2 December 1885, referred to two pastel 'seaside' sketches, but the Academy, 19 December, admired two upright pastels of lightly draped models.
