Flesh-colour and grey – Redcap was exhibited in 1886.
It is catalogued in MacDonald 1995 (cat. rais.) [more] (cat. no. 1091).
Flesh-colour and grey – Redcap, Whereabouts unknown
Unknown. The title suggests that this showed a nude or partly draped woman wearing a red cap. Few other watercolours fit this description, and none that are known from this date. See for instance Dancing girl m1068, The Pink Cap m1308.
However, it is possible that it was one watercolour that has not been located, Draped figure with black drapery and red cap m1216.
Two pastels with a similar subject appear to be of a later date; they are A girl in a red cap m1468, and one that has not been located Nude figure in black drapery and a red cap m1633.
