Man in an armchair, reading a newspaper (side 2); Heads and figures (side 4) dates from the spring or summer ot 1886. Man in an armchair, reading a newspaper is on the verso of a letter draft from Whistler, and Heads and figures on the verso of a short list of pictures and patrons. 1 The sketches are not related to the letter or list.
