• Date unknown: owned, according to a label, by Arthur Haythorne Studd (1863-1919).
• 1903: possibly with William Stephen Marchant (1868-1925), London art dealer.
• 1925: bought from W. P. Winchester by Colnaghi's, London art dealers, 28 April;
• 1925: transferred to Knoedler's, New York, 15 July 1925:
• 1925: sold to Hunt Henderson (1869-1939), New Orleans, 17 September;
• 1939: bequeathed to Tulane University, New Orleans;
• 1941: bought by Grenville Lindell Winthrop (1864-1943), April 1941;
• 1943: bequeathed to the Fogg Art Museum.
