A woman holding a pot, The Hunterian
According to Rosalind Birnie Philip (1873-1958) this was drawn in Paris, and the same model posed for Blue and Violet m1221. She also posed for Beatrice Philip (Mrs E. W. Godwin, Mrs J. McN. Whistler) (1857-1896) (A woman wearing a chiton and cap, The Hunterian, GLAHA 46594).

A woman holding a pot, The Hunterian
Beatrice Philip (Mrs E. W. Godwin, Mrs J. McN. Whistler) (1857-1896), working beside Whistler, drew same the model in the same outfit, using a similar technique, and on similar paper (A woman wearing a chiton and cap, Hunterian, GLAHA 46594).
There is another drawing, upside down, under this one.
It was not, as far as is known, exhibited in Whistler's lifetime.
