A woman holding a pot dates from 1890/1892. According to Rosalind Birnie Philip (1873-1958), this was drawn in Paris, where the Whistlers took a house at 110 rue du Bac in 1892.

According to Rosalind Birnie Philip (1873-1958) this was drawn in Paris, and the same model posed for Blue and Violet m1221. She also posed for Beatrice Philip (Mrs E. W. Godwin, Mrs J. McN. Whistler) (1857-1896) (A woman wearing a chiton and cap, The Hunterian, GLAHA 46594).
