By June 1892 Whistler and his wife had settled in Paris, overseeing the alterations to 110 rue du Bac, and working in a studio at 186 rue Notre Dame des Champs. This drawing may show suggested alterations.

Several drawings, including the one illustrated here, are by Beatrice Philip (Mrs E. W. Godwin, Mrs J. McN. Whistler) (1857-1896); this particular drawing is rather like her drawing of Study for 'Rose et argent: La Jolie Mutine' m1326. Clearly Whistler and his wife worked together at times and their drawing styles converged.
It has not been exhibited.
