A room with a skylight and velarium (?) was drawn on the verso of a letter from Hippolyte Durand Tahier (1863-1899), art critic, general secretary for the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, to Whistler, dated 27 March 1892. 1 The plan is nothing to do with the letter.
