The girl was drawn in chalk, tinted with muted shades of colour. The dress was drawn with angular lines, and shaded with diagonal lines.

Conservation History

The board bought from Holland has brown paper on both sides, but was only drawn on the one side. The paper is a dull dark brown paper with stalk-fragments and long fibres, and a vertical grain.
