• 1903: sold by Whistler to Richard Albert Canfield (1855-1914), Providence, RI;
• 1914: bought on 12 March by Knoedler's, New York dealers;
• 1919: sold to E. L. Heniot, New York, 12 December, but returned, possibly in July 1920;
• 1939: listed as 'Expenses' and sold, 27 February 1939.
