1957: bought on 5 November by Alister Mathews (1907-1985), art dealer, Bournemouth, who sold it to an American collector.

Date unknown: bought by Robert Owen Lehman (1891-1969);

1969: bequeathed to the Robert Lehman Foundation Inc.;

1970: the Lehman Collection was transferred to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
