- 1903: in the artist's studio at his death and bequeathed to his sister-in-law and executrix, Rosalind Birnie Philip (1873-1958);
- 1956: bought on 11 May by P. & D. Colnaghi & Co., Ltd, London art dealers;
- 1957: bought by Alister Mathews (1907-1985), art dealer, Bournemouth, 29 November 1957;
- 1958: bought by Hyman Swetzoff (d. 1968), Swetzoff Gallery, Boston.
