Interior, people may date from 1900/1901. It was recorded by Whistler's sister-in-law Rosalind Birnie Philip (1873-1958), possibly in 1904/1905; it may be the same as Ajaccio m1684.
It is catalogued in MacDonald 1995 (cat. rais.) [more] (cat. no. 1680).

Interior, people, whereabouts unknown
Possibly Ajaccio, Corsica.
It was recorded by Rosalind Birnie Philip (1873-1958) as a 'Pencil drawing (very delicate)'. 1
It is not certain to what this title refers, since there are several drawings that could fit, including The Work Shop, Ajaccio m1682 and Ajaccio m1684.
'Pencil drawing ... Interior people' was listed by Rosalind Birnie Philip (1873-1958) possibly in connection with the Paris 1905 memorial exhibition. 2 It could possibly be Ajaccio m1684, which is described as a 'dainty drawing with soft lines' on a sheet of paper probably taken from a sketchbook. 3
