On 30 December 1899, Louis Aubrée wrote to Whistler from 5 Impasse du Tir, Malakoff, Seine, France, regarding two oil portraits, Portrait of Madame H. Aubrée y007 and Self-Portrait y008, and a pen sketch of 'Me. H. Aubrée', created by Whistler about 1856 or 1857 (GUW #00216). There is no record of a reply.
