Dugald or Duncan McCorkindale was an ironfounder and collector of Whistler's work. He lived at Carfin Hall, Lanarkshire and Glendermott, Rothesay, Isle of Bute.
His collection included Study: Woman and child m1286 and probably Design for a Mosaic m1226 and Venus m0357. It was sold on 6-7 November 1903.
