Henry Romeike was the founder of the Romeike news agency.
Romeike provided Whistler with many of the press-cuttings now kept in his albums in Glasgow University Library. Whistler published correspondence between them in The Gentle Art of Making Enemies (1890) which Romeike threatened action for libel.
