Henri Roujon, alias Henry Laujol, was a writer and administrator.
Roujon was the Directeur des Beaux-Arts in 1891 and was approached by the poet Stéphane Mallarmé who, along with Gustave Geffroy and Théodore Duret, was seeking the acquisition of Arrangement in Grey and Black: Portrait of the Painter's Mother y101 by the State. The painting was bought by the Musée du Luxembourg for 4000 francs. In 1892 Roujon was also instrumental in attaining for Whistler the title of Officier of the Légion d'Honneur (#05252).
