  • 1958: bequeathed to the University of Glasgow.

Exhibitions

The cartoon was not exhibited in Whistler's lifetime, though the Peacock Room was shown to the Press in 1877, accompanied by a pamphlet expressing Whistler's intentions: Whistler 1877 C [more].
