Provenance

  • 1903: in Whistler's studio at his death, and bequeathed to his ward and executrix, Rosalind Birnie Philip (1873-1958) .

It is not certain which of several possible drawings this was: possibilities include Interior, people [M.1680], The Work Shop, Ajaccio [M.1682] and Ajaccio [M.1684].
