• Before 1901: owned by Samuel Pope (1826-1901), Esq., Queen's Counsel, of 74 Ashley Gardens, London S.W.;
• 1901: six drawings in a folio, including 'Study of a Girl', from the estate of the late Samuel Pope, Esq., were sold at auction, Christie's, London, 7 December 1901 (lot 57), and bought by 'Eyles', £2.10.0.
