Exhibitions

It was not, as far as is known, exhibited in Whistler's lifetime.

In an undated list Whistler recorded two portraits of Maud as potentially available for exhibition: 'Maud - fur jacket - / Maud - green scarf.' 1 This may have been related to plans for an exhibition of Whistler's work at the Royal Society of British Artists, which were quashed by Whistler's resignation from the RBA in 1888.
