• 1895: offered by the artist to the New York dealer, Edward Guthrie Kennedy (1849-1932).

In September 1895 Whistler wrote from Lyme Regis to E. G. Kennedy offering him 'A lovely little landscape.' 1 It may have been the 'Landscape' bought by Wunderlich's from Whistler on 3 July 1897 for £60.0.0. 2
