H. C. Pollitt

H. C. Pollitt probably dates from February 1896, when Whistler arranged that Herbert Charles Jerome Pollitt (1871-1942) should come for sittings for a lithographic portrait. 1 It is very likely that it was done at the same time as the lithograph Portrait Study: Mr Herbert C. Pollitt c148.
