The massive church of the Frari, with its fine bell-towers, was started in 1330. It is the main Franciscan church in Venice, the interior dominated by Titian's magnificent altarpiece The Assumption of the Virgin. This is a view of the Frari from the south west, seen from the Calle de1 Scalater, looking through the Campiello San Rocco towards the Sottoportico San Rocco. 1
