Blue and Green: Dieppe probably dates from Whistler's visit to Dieppe in the autumn of 1885. 1 It was first exhibited in “Notes” – “Harmonies” – “Nocturnes”, H. Wunderlich & Co., New York, 1889 (cat. no. 31).
