  • 1962: sold by Juvelis, at auction, Christie's, London, 22 June 1962 (lot 14) as 'Women at a Fountain, Heidelberg', and bought by 'Manning', London dealer;
  • 1963: sent to the Bernard Black Gallery, New York;
  • 1966: auctioned, Parke Bernet, New York, 26 May 1966 (lot 7) as 'Fontaine à Heidelberg', bought in;
  • 1969: sold at auction, Parke Bernet, New York, 1 October 1969 (lot 14) as 'Fountain at Heidelberg', and bought by a private collector.
  • 1984: sold at auction, Christie's, New York, 21 September 1984 (lot 146) as 'Woman at a Fountain, Heidelberg', and bought by Knoedler, New York art dealers.
  • 1988: bought from the Hammer Galleries by a private collector;
  • 2004: sold at auction, Christie's, New York, 27 September 2004 (lot 13), as 'Fountain at Heidelberg', and bought by a private collector.
