• 1902: bought with The White Symphony: Three Girls [YMSM 087] from Thomas Way (1837-1915) , London, through the art dealer William Stephen Marchant (1868-1925) by Charles Lang Freer (1856-1919), Detroit;
• 1919: bequeathed by C. L. Freer to the Freer Gallery of Art.
