  • By 1918: bought from Scott and Fowles, New York, by Albert Eugene Gallatin (1882-1952) .
  • Before 1942: owned by Esther 'Hope' Kerrigan (née Slater) (1892-1951), New York, New York;
  • 1942: sold at auction, Kerrigan sale, Parke-Bernet, New York, 8-10 January 1942 (lot 28, repr.), bought by Charles Sessler (1854-1935) , Philadelphia.
  • 1951: given by Aaron Lobowich to the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, 12 April 1951.
