The size is estimated from traces left in an album that had belonged to Charles Augustus Howell (1840?-1890). 1

Conservation History

The drawing, stuck into an album by Charles Augustus Howell (1840?-1890), was removed by Whistler. Howell wrote under the drawing, 'Mrs. Leland. [sic] A recollection'. 2
