  • 1891: on 9 June Edward Guthrie Kennedy (1849-1932) , New York dealer, brought 11 drawings, probably including this, to Paris for Whistler to sign; 1
  • Date unknown: acquired by George Aloysius Lucas (1824-1909) , Baltimore;
  • 1909: bequeathed to Baltimore Museum of Art.
