  • 1892: possibly one of 'Two sketches' sold at auction, Christie's, London, 27 February 1892 (lot 31) and bought by 'Thomas'.
  • 1937: probably sold by Maggs, London, 1937 (lot 123) as 'Nocturne Salute'.
  • Date unknown: bought from the Castano Galleries, Boston, by Steven Juvelis (b. 1921) ;
  • 1962: sold at auction, Christie's, London, 22 July 1962 (lot 9) as 'Venice' and bought by Colnaghi's, London dealers;
  • Date unknown: sold to R. Hyran Swetzoff, Boston;
  • Date unknown: bought by G. S. Abrams, but later exchanged for another drawing.
  • 1967: bought from Robert Light, Boston dealer, by the Baltimore Museum of Art.
