Possibly Beatrice Philip (Mrs E. W. Godwin, Mrs J. McN. Whistler) (1857-1896) , who was then the wife of Edward William Godwin (1833-1886). Godwin was a regular contributor to the British Architect, in which this drawing was reproduced. Alternatively it could be Maud Franklin (1857-ca 1941) , who was still Whistler's partner and chief model.
