• 1927: bequeathed to his wife, Jane Elizabeth Crane Andrews (1840-1930);
• 1931: sold at auction, AAA, New York, 25 March 1931 (lot 14, repr.), bought by Susan Dwight Bliss (1822-1966) , New York;
• 1966: bequest of Susan Dwight Bliss to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
