It was drawn with a wide nib which separates on some of the drawing- on the clothes draped over the end of the bed. The ink was blotted so that the smoke is paler than the rest. The shadows behind each leg were scraped out, so that a new shadow could be drawn, more consistent with the light source shown.
The drawings are on the first and third side, and were folded in quarters, to fit a small envelope.
