  • 1943: bought by Colnaghi's, London art dealers, 28 July, and sold to Count Hatvany;
  • 1980: sold at auction, Christie's, London, 13 June 1980 (lot 12);
  • 1981: bought by Dr John Larkin (n/a) ;
  • 1981: sold through Hope Davis, New York art dealer, to Paul Mellon (1907-1999) ;
  • 1993: given to Yale Center for British Art, New Haven.
