  • 1914: sold on 12 March to Knoedler's, New York dealers;
  • 1917: sold on 13 January to Charles B. Eddy (1872-1951) .
  • 1938: bought on 15 April from Charles Sessler (1854-1935) , Philadelphia dealer, by Lessing Julius Rosenwald (1891-1971) ;
  • 1943: given to the National Gallery of Art;
  • 1980: moved from Alverthorpe Gallery to the National Gallery of Art.
