• 1903: in the artist's studio at his death and bequeathed to his sister-in-law and executrix, Rosalind Birnie Philip (1873-1958) ;
• 1950s: possibly bought by P. & D. Colnaghi & Co., Ltd, London art dealers and sold to Edward Brian Seago (1910-1974) ;
• 1974: bequeathed to Peter Seymour (fl. 1952) , Ludham. Norfolk;
• Date unknown: bequeathed to a private owner.
