  • 1903: in the artist's studio at his death and bequeathed to his sister-in-law and executrix, Rosalind Birnie Philip (1873-1958) ;
  • 1956: bought by P. & D. Colnaghi & Co., Ltd, London art dealers, 11 May 1956, and sold on 18 May to Edward Brian Seago (1910-1974) ;
  • 1974: bequeathed to Peter Seymour (fl. 1952) , Ludham, Norfolk, who in turn bequeathed it to a private owner.
